Throughout my career, which began 29 years ago as a special education teacher, I have had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the positive impact that a positive school climate and culture can have on the lives of students and staff. In my current role as a Special Education Coach, I strive to encourage and support paraprofessionals, teachers, and administrators to remember their “why” of wanting to be in education. Having beliefs that are deeply rooted in removing barriers to increase accessibility for all students is my passion. My enthusiasm lies in offering high-energy and engaging professional learning experiences that ignite passion in all participants to strive for excellence. My daily intent is to inspire others to bring their best selves to the table in order to strengthen teachers’ daily interactions with their students. Creating an inclusive and supportive environment for all is key.
